Meetings are currently held at 7:30 pm on Tuesday evenings at the church.
The church is located at the northeast corner of Shannon St. and Route 47 in Elburn.
No meetings are held when Kaneland Schools are not in session.
During the summer, meetings are held every other week.
Troop 7 is part of the Maramech Hill district.
We participate in district-wide events like the Klondike Derby each winter.
The troop also camps out on a monthly basis throughout the year;
travels to Napowan summer camp in Wild Rose, Wisconsin each summer;
and has regulary sent crews on high adventure treks to Sea Base in Florida,
Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and Canoe trips in
Quetico Boundary Waters area along the Minnesota and Canadian borders.
Other activities include the annual Memorial Day parade, Elburn Days parade, day in the park concession sales, pancake breakfasts, popcorn and candy fundraisers, roadside cleanup service work and other volunteer service projects from time to time.
The troop has an excellent reputation for scouts earning the rank of eagle,
scouting's highest rank.
This begins by scouts developing leadership skills
by holding one of the troop positions.
Each troop position has its own set of responsibilities and duties
that the assigned scout is expected to perform.
The patrol method of scouting together with rank advancement opportunities are emphasized for the scouts of Troop 7.
The Elburn Troop 7 Handbook
is a great source for more information about Troop 7.
